There’s no denying that the industry is still a heavily male-dominated space. We are a female-led organisation striving to make the music industry a more supportive and nurturing environment for women and queer individuals.
At ELFCAT, our producers and engineers are mainly women and queer individuals, who have all experienced inappropriate behaviour in music the music industry. That is why we have made it our mission to provide a safe space where artists can feel free to express themselves without judgment or fear for their safety.

30-min pre-mix chat: share your references, talk us through your artistic vision and help us create a plan for your project!
Editing: we’ll help you choose the best takes of your performance, be it vocals, guitars, drums or any instrument you’ve recorded. Once we’ve confirmed the best takes with you, we’ll edit them together in a process called comping. Or, do it yourself to save on mixing costs!
Clean your recordings: removing unwanted clicks/pops/mouth noises/background noise.
Vocal Edit & Processing: polish your vocals using subtle pitch correction, timing correction, custom FX chains and breath removal.
Use EQ, Compression, Reverb, and Spatialisation: creating a balanced, professional mix suited to your style and genre.
Guide you through the entire process: no gatekeeping here, we understand the investment you’re making and are happy to tell you about our process and decisions that we have made!
Mix revisions: Need any changes to your mix? You can provide 2 rounds of feedback to us with any changes you need!
The amount of hours that a mix takes to complete will be decided based on these factors:
How many elements (tracks) are there to mix?How long is your song?How complex is your vocal edit and vocal FX chain?Can you choose your own takes and do your own editorial comping?Once decided on the amount of time needed for your mix, you’ll receive a detailed quote outlining your options. We operate on an hourly rate system: You pay the mix engineer a fixed hourly rate for the hours they spend mixing your song.
Flat Rate: £25ph
Wanting multiple songs mixed in the same way? We offer a 35% discount for any additional songs, eg. for an album or EP.
Wanting to have your mix polished off and ready for release? Add on our mastering services for only £50 per song!
Through our affordability scheme, we’re able to offer flexible pricing options for those on a tighter budget. If you’re a student or on low income you could qualify for our affordability scheme.
